Surely one of this year's most beloved of fairies, Delphinia, is named for the delphinium flower. Both names originate from the French for "woman of Delphi," referring to the ancient "Oracle of Delphi." The female oracle was respected in all of Greece (in fact Delphi was considered to be the center of the world), and many visitors traveled there to hear her prophecies. Standing approx 6" high
